How To Remove Your Glass Ceiling in 2023

How To Remove Your Glass Ceiling in 2023

Are you fretting, stressing or both as time moves closer to a new year? Which one of the three are you doing the most?

Maybe you are already feeling guilt or shame for being in a negative frame of mind? It's ok, breathe and know you can choose another way.

Are you forgetting that being stressed is a choice and we can choose another way? What would your life look like if you picked another way to respond? What would your life look like if you stopped the worry wart routine?

As a leader of your business (or your family or both) you have people watching you to see if you are going to react (stressed, triggered, emotional, worried, angry, snippy etc) or if you are going to respond (mindful, grounded, with thoughtfulness, with greatness and with grace etc)? It's hard, but with practice, this will take your leadership and communication to a new level. Next time you allow yourself to be triggered, tell yourself to take a deep breath, and respond instead.

You can avoid allowing the external craziness going on around this world to pull you off your vision, purpose, leadership, greatness or plans for 2023. My biggest tips to keep yourself on a greatness path for 2023 are:

  1. Remember who you are and what your purpose is - focus on THAT and water THAT grass!
  2.
  3. Have a vision that inspires you and PULLS you towards it (if your vision is too small it won't take you where you desire to go)
  4.
  5. Practice being mindful and aware of your emotions so they don't consume you or react for you!
  6.
  7. Have a plan (or you plan to fail). If you don't have clarity in your plan! "Clarity moves the train, confusion derails the train."
  8.
  9. Don't lose your authenticity. Authenticity is your biggest currency so don't get caught up in someone else's game! Stay true to you.

I believe in having a plan! So when you look at your 2023 do you have a PLAN IN PLACE for yourself, your business to build your authority, elevate your brand and make the big impact you want? If not. What do you need to create it?

This is the time of year that we are rushing to do so much. Every role you have is activated and super busy! There is no time to think UNLESS you are mindful and put margins in your schedule. Margins are an intentional act of self-care that will save your mind, body, and spirit through the Holidays. It was hard for me to put margins in place 15 years ago because my bad habit was to CRAM everything together in my day. The illusion was I was getting more done.

It was a bad habit that served me until I saw its horrible consequences. I had to transform this habit so I could enjoy my work again, and I could have the time to plan and grow my business, and spend more leisure time, plus I planned ahead for my vacation time instead of catch as catch can.

I realized that my day, my time, my schedule, my clients, my events, my days off were all UP TO ME and I could DESIGN them how I wanted to WITH margins. I could recreate the rhythm of my day. It was a game-changer!

Going into 2023 I'm excited about so many things and I hope you are too!
