AHWATUKEE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -
Minor injuries were reported at a Chipotle in Ahwatukee after a driver crashed into the restaurant, police said.
It happened on Monday evening near 42nd Street and Chandler Boulevard.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with officers, police said.
Several people were injured by broken glass but no one was seriously hurt, according to police.
Zachary Byrd was one of those hit by the glass.
"It's a pretty normal day. I'm sitting there eating a burrito. I get about four bites in, and the next thing I know there's a car in the window," the 17-year-old said.
He got small cuts all over his legs and hands and got treated at an urgent care center.
But Byrd said he was doing fine and even made a sweet deal with Chipotle's management.
"I have two free burritos," he said. "Yeah, gonna sit far away from the glass though.
Witnesses say the driver was a young girl who was with her mother.
It's unclear what led up to the crash.
